Whizz-Kidz children’s mobility charity

Thanks to Geert Bakker in Holland, for finding some old links to my 2008 charity sponsorship, still on the web when I thought all mention had been wiped off long ago: www.justgiving.com/whizz-kidz-pilgrim So I just had to take this as a sign that a new round of sponsorship was needed.  I have created a new donation page for this blog (see below).

Geert is a staunch member of the Dutch pilgrim association and also indefatigable promoter of strange mysteries around the statuary of the west door of the Obradoiro in Compostela.  He ws also an early visitor to the new Frere Rabit Piligriminage blog.

Here are the links, and it is all thanks to Geert finding these links that I’d like to dedicate this blog once again to Whizz-Kidz and try to continue promoting their very good work.  It was because I had the opportunity, due to good health and stamina, to walk for three months non-stop from Worcester to Santiago in 2008, that I thought it was right to do it for those who have mobility needs.  Whatever you can contribute to this charity is put to good use helping children with specialised mobility needs in the UK.  Dig deep please.  Send your donation directly to Whizz-Kidz via the link to the Rabit’s Piligriminage Whizz-Kidz charity donation page

About Gareth Thomas

A fairly mixed career starting as an aircraft technician and later Franciscan friar eventually led into secondary school teaching. I settled in Spain where I teach Geography part-time and spend the rest of my time looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I have two blogs: a geography blog and a donkey blog.

    Hi Gareth,
It was a great honour and pleasure exploring “The Santiago Enigma” together with a few friends on the big santiagoforum. I’ll always cherish it!
    Buen Camino!

Thank you, Gareth, for your kind words.
Wasn’t it interesting and great fun developing (in close harmony with a few others) ‘The Santiago Enigma’ thread on the big forum. Now that quest is continued on http://the-santiago-enigma-continued.blogspot.com .
Here’s the link to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine where many (not all) old (closed) sites still can be retrieved http://www.archive.org/web/web.php .
    Buen Camino!
