Back to blogging from my phone

The computer died last week. 😦 A 2007 Mac Powerbook should have lasted longer than that, surely? Anyway, I’m only just able to afford carrots on these wages; a new computer or even a repair is out of the question. Consequently, I’m blogging from my phone. I cannot see any way to upload images, however.

The donkeys had their first session with the farrier yesterday. Brian Colyer, barefoot horse farrier, came to pick their feet up and just get them used to the idea. Next time he will trim their hooves. It is a slow process as they have not been used to regular hoof care. I sneak up on them when they are lying in the sun and inspect their hooves. I even managed to dosome hoof cleaning on Rubi this way, but only a short session: she decided she was having none of that and she stood up promptly.

If the next blog post is slow in coming, the lack of a computer is the problem. I may try and borrow a school laptop for Easter.

About Gareth Thomas

After a mixed career as an aircraft technician, London fringe theatre playwright, Franciscan friar, and secondary school teacher, I find myself looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I like to listen to BBC Radio 4 and the wind in the pine trees. I am writing a comedy about a school in Benidorm. My favourite film of all time is "Jean de Florette". If I had my time again I would not have spent the early 1970s working for Special Branch.
