Donkeys excited about royal wedding

There is no doubt that the donkeys have worked themselves into a state of wild excitement. It must be due to the royal wedding, as no other explanation could be possible during this week when the media is constantly presenting every event in the context of the wedding.

Well, actually there is a tenuous connection between the donks and the royal wedding. I have to go to the agricultural office in Callosa tomorrow to finally complete the paperwork to make the donkey field legal. On the way home I shall be meeting up with another teacher, a science teacher from the school where I work, in an English bar in Polop where the royal wedding will be on satellite TV.

About Gareth Thomas

A fairly mixed career starting as an aircraft technician and later Franciscan friar eventually led into secondary school teaching. I settled in Spain where I teach Geography part-time and spend the rest of my time looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I have three blogs: a geography blog and a donkey blog begun in 2015, plus an old donkey blog which ran from 2010 to 2015.

Either of them in season yet? Mathilde is looking a different shape, and if she isn’t looking to mate I would say she is prolly preggers.

  2. Frere Rabit says:

I have observed the urine flow, as you suggested. Rubi’s is a very creamy colour but Matilde’s is normal pee. I’m having the vet in soon to do their routine injections and I’ll ask about the cost of a scan. There’s a good Matilde tummy profile in today’s main beach photo.
