In praise of the bourricot

I have just discovered this website:
The French word bourricot is new to me (I like it because it is similar to burro in Spanish.) The website contains a good collection of links to French donkey sites, mainly conected with walking with donkeys.
bourricot Petit âne.
baudet, bourriquet -familier: bourrique
monter un bourricot
être chargé comme un bourricot être très chargé

About Gareth Thomas

After a mixed career as an aircraft technician, London fringe theatre playwright, Franciscan friar, and secondary school teacher, I find myself looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I like to listen to BBC Radio 4 and the wind in the pine trees. I am writing a comedy about a school in Benidorm. My favourite film of all time is "Jean de Florette". If I had my time again I would not have spent the early 1970s working for Special Branch.

    Hi Gareth
Dalie says bonjour de Naverrenx, in a garden in the rain while I sit in a Cybercafe before eating a huge meal in the Gite.

  2. Frere Rabit says:

hi, Barbara! Navarrenx! I remember it well. The church is beautiful. I wish I was there too, with burra. Buen Camino!
