Happy Easter!

Here is the slightly late blog post for Easter. Rosemary has been visiting from Italy for the second Easter, enjoying time with the donkeys, as well as Good Friday in Crevillente and Easter Sunday in Finestrat.  Then we had Julie – a colleague from the school where I work – visiting with her family on Easter Saturday to go donkey walking. So it has been a fairly full week.  The photos are posted below for the benefit of visitors, and the regular blog visitors may enjoy them too.

About Gareth Thomas

A fairly mixed career starting as an aircraft technician and later Franciscan friar eventually led into secondary school teaching. I settled in Spain where I teach Geography part-time and spend the rest of my time looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I have two blogs: a geography blog and a donkey blog.

Cher Brother Lapin…Joyeux Paques from une amie a Canterbury who enjoys receiving your pists! Thank you, keep ’em coming…and I give heartfelt thanks to Our Beloved Lord for providing you with such a place of contentment after all the various trials. It is so good to hear how you have settled into the life of teacher and donkey carer …thank you for all that you share with us who are still on the treadmill! All the very best in Domine! Cerise!

How lovely to hear from you, and happy Easter, Cherry! Indeed it is a very lovely life with the donkeys and I cannot imagine anything different from this now. I certainly never want to return to England! I am quite happy to carry on teaching beyond retirement age (well, in fact I’ll have to!) and the more I teach geography the more I wish I had chosen that subject many years ago: it seems to connect with everything. Keep commenting on the blog: it’s the only way I know who is reading it! God bless.

I have to tell you dear Brother, that yesterday I let my potatoes burn, while watching Morris Training.

  5. Frere Rabit says:

Oh dear… It would be interesting to know how many meals around the world Morris has ruined in this way!

Look out for the next episode of Morris training! We can now do steering, which is quite useful on bends in the road.

  6. Lovely pics Rabit….and Rosemary….and donks. Happy Easter 🙂
