Happy birthday Matilde

Matilde is actually seven today (not ten as I wrote yesterday). A friend was curious to know how a donkey bought in 2010 age two could possibly be age ten by 2015.  There is a simple answer to this mystery: rabits is not good at the rithmatic…

Happy birthday to a still young Matilde!  Rubí’s birthday tomorrow, so I will try and do the rithmatic and work out how old she is.

Matilde, birthday girl. Age seven today!

About Gareth Thomas

A fairly mixed career starting as an aircraft technician and later Franciscan friar eventually led into secondary school teaching. I settled in Spain where I teach Geography part-time and spend the rest of my time looking after the needs of four donkeys in a remote location in the mountains in the Costa Blanca. I have two blogs: a geography blog and a donkey blog.

Beautiful girl. Please give her a pat from me (and do tell her it was from me!) Is she the one with dapples? Maggie x

  2. Happy birthday Matilde! Why is she not covered in flies? Is it just too dry there?

  3. Geert says:

Happy Birthdays and good health y’all! They look so wise for their age; I’m sure they are old spirits…

  4. Jack Hughes says:

Happy Birthday to both Matilde and the tuesday morning philosopher, vegetable garden looks great as does the Birthday girl. As for the drought your Priest might consider it archaic but there are commemorations in the 1962 Missal about for when one is in need of rain.

  5. Frere Rabit says:

I passed on the pat from Maggie to Matilde (and explained). Martine’s question about flies is an interesting one. We didn’t have flies until today: now we have an enormous number of flies. I think it has something to do with humidity? No, Geert, the donks are not old spirits: they are Catholics and don’t go in for any New Age nonsense… 🙂
